Using Twitter for Greatleague
Twitter is both a networking site and a communication site.
Twitter is easier and better than the other networking sites, especially for the way we're going to employ it, and easier and better than other communications sites, at least again for how we'll use it, Networking is simple, you add or "follow" any and every other GL member who is on twitter, soon I hope that will be ALL greatleague members When everyone on GL signs up twitter account, and adds all of us, we'll have a NETWORK of GL member on twitter, which potentially would include more than 7000 current members.
Here's how the communication works:
Let's say 10 people add or "follow" you on twitter When you type in comments, those 10 people get your comments on their twitter page If 1000 people follow you on twitter, you post comments (short comments) all 1000 receive them, if you follow 1000, you see their comments.
Hashmark
There 's one more element, the hashmark words on twitter, they're like key words Ours is #greatleague This allows users to easily search by topics on twitter The value for us is, when you get on twitter, post a shout out to other GL members like this: hi all greatleague members welcome to twitter please follow me #greatleague anyone wanting to find other GL members that recently joined twitter, search by #greatleague and all their comments come up From there, you can add each one and follow them When they are added by you, we want them to follow you back As a rule for building the GL network, add and follow and follow back ALL GL members again, find them by searching #greatleague on the twitter page so you will be found, please post that tweet asap and put #greatleague at the end of it please be careful and don't type #greatleauge that's easy enough typo #greatleague
